Iconic Italian Design: The Story of Campari Soda

Campari Soda stands as an iconic symbol of Italian culture and innovation, tracing back to 1932 when Davide Campari’s company introduced the first single-serve aperitif mixing cocktail bitter with soda directly in the bottle. The visionary design of the bottle, crafted by Italian futurist artist Fortunato Depero, revolutionized traditional approaches by featuring a flipped cocktail goblet shape in frosted glass with embossed branding.

Continuing its legacy of innovative design, Campari Soda has collaborated with creative leaders through its Design Connection platform. In the upcoming 2023 Milan Design Week, Campari Soda will unveil a collaboration with Qeeboo, the design brand founded by Stefano Giovannoni.

Qeeboo has created four distinct objects inspired by Campari Soda, including the striking “Giraffe In Love” sculpture, a playful “Turtle Carry Drinks” piece, a unique “Sweet Brother Tom” lamp, and a colorful reinterpretation of the Rabbit series. These collaborations aim to capture the essence of Campari Soda’s design heritage in new and exciting ways.

The partnership with Qeeboo is the latest in a series of successful designer collaborations by Campari Soda. Past collaborations include projects with Alessi and Marco Oggian, each bringing a fresh perspective to incorporating the iconic bottle into functional and artistic pieces.

Since launching the Design Connection series in 2020, Campari Soda has maintained a tradition of engaging with designers to create innovative interpretations of its iconic bottle. This commitment to creativity ensures a continued evolution of design concepts for years to come.

Experience the Campari Soda x Qeeboo collaboration at the Qeeboo Milan store during the 2023 Milan Design Week. The collection will also be showcased at the exclusive Campari Soda ft. Highsnobiety event at One Block Down. Don’t miss the chance to explore these captivating designs!
