The world-famous celebrity chef and restaurateur Mario Batali is reportedly being investigated by the New York Police Department (NYPD). Batali has been accused of sexual misconduct by around 11 women. As per the report, the NYPD is now investigating the matter under the criminal sexual misconduct allegation.
The allegation of sexual misconduct against Mario Batali first came to know in December 2017. During that time Batali also admitted that he had done inappropriate behavior with women and took leave for few days from the restaurant. Batali owns numbers of restaurants. He is now accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman employee at his restaurants in 2005.
Accusing Batali, one woman, protecting her identity stated that Batali drugged ger and assaulted her sexually in 2005. When she wakes up, she found a Spotted Pig with semen on her leg. The woman was an employee of Batali and was working one of his restaurants. However, Batali’s attorney denied the allegation. After the incident, the woman went to the hospital and had a rape kit done, but she had not filed any police report.
Some other women also claimed that Batali had touched them inappropriately and they had once seen him assaulting another woman who was either unconscious or semi-conscious. However, the woman has declined to give any comment.
On the other side, Batali has vehemently denied the allegations of sexual misconduct and assaulting the woman who brought the accusation against him. It is still unclear that whether he was asked for the alleged second sexual assault or inappropriate touching. But, last years he apologized for his bad behavior.

However, the New York Police Department has confirmed that there is an active criminal investigation against Batali.
