Deadpool 2 has received a dominant start this weekend, and the Marvel Comic movie has earned around $125 million in its opening weekend. Well, if compared with 2016’s Deadpool, the first series had made the most significant opening and received $132.4 million. As per the report, the weekend collection of Deadpool 2 was enough to defeat Disney and Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War which was on the top of the list for last three weeks.
It seems that Infinity War is losing the war against Deadpool 2. But the movie is still a king of box office. As per the report, Avenger: Infinity War managed to earn around $1.81 billion globally within a month. With this record, the movie became the fourth biggest global opening in history and the highest earning superhero movie.
Infinity War managed to collect $113.1 million globally in this weekend. In the previous weekend, the movie became the world’s second-biggest movie market in China. After just ten days of its release, Avengers: Infinity War crossed $300 million in China and is No. 4 western release of all time there.
Experts have stated that “Deadpool 2 proves once again that when properly applied, the freedom that an R rating offers can be both creatively and financially fulfilling.” It still has the title of the second-best opening for an R-rated film and the third-biggest debut movie of the year. The No-1 rank is cornered by Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther are in the second rank on the list.
Both Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Infinity War is Marvel films but is given by two different studios. However, the movies have offered the audience what they want. Talking about box office collection in North American cities, it was 63% more than the last year.
