Storm Chaser star Joel Taylor died at 38

In an unfortunate incident, Joel Taylor, the star of “Storm Chasers,” died aboard a cruise ship on Tuesday. He was only 38 years old.

He was working in Discovery Channel’s documentary reality series named Storm Chasers. The reason behind his death is still unknown. But it is said that Taylor may have overdosed. He was discovered unconscious in his cabin on Tuesday on a Royal Caribbean ship named the Harmony of the Seas.

As per the source of law enforcement “It appears the death could be an overdose and Joel Taylor was consuming controlled substances.”

On the other side, some passengers also informed that Taylor was taking drugs, including ecstasy and cocaine. They also said that after consuming GHB he got unconscious. GHB is a central nervous system depressant date rape drug often used to treat sleep disorders, on the dance floor. After that, he was taken to his cabin by his two friends from the floor.

After finding him dead, people called the Law enforcement when the ship arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The boat was slated to return to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Saturday morning.

The death news of the star was announced by Reed Timmer, the co-star of Taylor.

Timmer wrote on Twitter that “RIP my best friend and storm chasing partner, Joel Taylor. I am shocked and devastated by the loss of my incredible, caring friend.” We chased so many intense storms, and I wish we could have just one more storm chase. I’ll miss you forever, Joel. We lost a legend.”

He had been on Storm Chasers since 2008. He has studied meteorology at the University of Oklahoma. The strange thing is that Discovery channel has not commented on this. The Elk City native’s storm chasing team by giving a tribute to Taylor define his as an Inspiration.
