The Real Housewives of New York star claimed that hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons touched her inappropriately once in an elevator in Miami.
Luann de Lesseps made sexual misconduct allegations against Russell Simmons. She claimed that Simmons touched her inappropriately.
Lesseps came forward for the very first time and shared her story of sexual harassment in the wake of female-led #MeToo movement, she said that Simmons was nothing but “just a pig.”
The Real Housewives of New York City star claimed in an interview with The Daily Beast published on Friday that Simmons groped her in an elevator years ago.
Lesseps said, “He grabbed my a** in an elevator, he was just a pig.” She continued, “I haven’t told anybody about that before. I was grossed out. I was like ‘How dare you.’”
“He invaded me, he took advantage of me, being who he is, thinking he is all ‘it,’ all everything. He thought he could just do that. I looked at him and said, ‘Don’t ever do that again,'” she claimed, adding the alleged incident took place “around three summers ago, at Soho Beach House, Miami.”
She said that the 60-year-old Simmons didn’t apologize. Simmons is being accused of several rape allegations, which he has strongly denied.
He took to Instagram back in December after being accused of rape by four females. He wrote, “I have never had a sexual encounter that was not consensual or lawful. Ever.” He continued, “I vehemently deny all these allegations. These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core and all of my relations have been consensual.”
In a statement which he used in response to all allegations made against him, Simmon said that he was “devasted.”
The statement read, “I am blessed to have shared extraordinary relationships, whether through work or love, with many great women and I have enormous respect for the women’s movement worldwide and their struggle for respect, dignity, equality and power.”
The statement continued, “I am devastated by any reason I may have given to anyone to say or think of me in the ways that are currently being described.”
