The 68-year-old Caitlyn Marie Jenner born Bruce Jenner shared her views how President Donald Trump leads the nation at least 20 years back.
in an interview with Newsweek Caitlyn Jenner said that Trump administration led the trans community at least 2 decades back. She said in the interview that published on Saturday, “As far as trans issues, this administration has been the worst ever.”
She continued, “They’ve set our community back 20 years, easily. It’s going to be hard to change, but we’ve been through these types of things before, and we’ll continue to fight it.”
She went on to say that Trump needs to “do a better job when it comes to equality.” No response has been reported from the White House yet.
The reality star who is also an activist has now changed her tune after being a supporter of Trump. When the president gave orders to discontinuation of federal protections for trans students which allowed transgender students to use school restrooms aligning with their gender identity, Jenner took to Twitter and called Trump’s decision a “disaster.” She also reminded him that he previously vowed to protect the LGBTQ community.
She declared back in June 2017 that her allegiance is not with the Mr. President after Trump banned transgender people from serving in the military. “America’s 15,000 trans service members and 134,000 veterans are much braver than you, Mr. Trump; my allegiance is with them and our country, not you,” she wrote on her website.
Despite the fact that Jenner attended an inauguration event, she has not spoken with Trump. She said, “I did come back to the inauguration to meet people.”
She added, “And out of that I have built some very nice and good relationships with the Republican Party, but I have not been back to see Trump.”
Jenner said over Trump’s infamous history addressing equality, “We’re all Americans. I think of it this way. We have diversity in mankind, humankind. We have diversity all over the place, diversity in the way people look, diversity in religion, diversity in skin color. Wouldn’t it be a dull world if everybody was the same?”
