Mike Sorrentino found guilty in tax case

The things have happened as per the rule. It has been proved that Mike Sorrentino and his brother had involved in a tax case. Now, after found guilty of violating federal tax laws, reality TV star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his brother, Marc Sorrentino, pleaded guilty. It has been announced by Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Richard E. Zuckerman of the Justice Department’s Tax Division, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito for the District of New Jersey and Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS CI) Special Agent in Charge Jonathan D. Larsen.

On Friday he was accompanied by his girlfriend, Lauren Pesce to the court. There he pleaded guilty to Count 13 of the superseding indictment. On the other side, Michael Sorrentino also pleaded guilty to Count 5 for preparing a false tax return paper.

Carpinato stated, “What the defendants admitted to today, quite simply, is tantamount to stealing money from their fellow taxpayers.” He further stated that it is the duty and responsibility of all to pay taxes. There is no free pass form this duty for celebrity.

As per the report, he is now going through five years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine. He is allowed to go Miami. Both face a period of supervised release, restitution, and monetary penalties.

They had first indicted in September 2014 for tax offences. The report says they had failed to pay tax on $8.9 million which they had got from 2010 to 2012.

After that, in 2017, they again found guilty related to tax. The charges included tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records.

Commenting on this Sorrentino said “I am trying to take these experiences that are coming my way and make them a positive. He asserted that all these allegations did not portray him accurately and he had not stated much about that.
