The ex-wife of Russel Simmons the music producer and entrepreneur, Kimora Lee Simmons has finally given her statement about all those sexual harassment allegations made by around 15 women.
She gave her comment via Instagram on Thursday and wrote: “I add my voice to the chorus of those speaking out against harassment and violence in all its forms.” She also supported the Me Too movement.
In her message, she wrote “I have known Russell for over 25 years. We were close friends, married, divorced and have remained friends, co-parents, and partners throughout it all. These allegations against him are nothing like the person I have known in all that time. I have known him to be a caring and supportive father and someone who has worked tirelessly to uplift disenfranchised communities.”
As per the report, 15 women including model Keri Claussen Khaligi, fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone, and Writer Jenny Lumet have been brought allegation against Simmons. The allegations include sexual misconduct and assault to rape.
Accuser Jennifer Jarosik filed a case against Simmons, and she said he raped her. She brought this news seven years after their divorce.
After all the allegations Simmons released a statement via his representative Eric Rose and stated that all the allegations are untrue. He stated, “I look forward to having my day in court — where, unlike the court of public opinion, I will have the ability to make use of fair processes that ensure that justice will be done and that the full truth will be known.”
In November, he moved away from his businesses and charities in November. Now he just wants to avoid any distraction.
Sine three decades Simmons has been under the accusations. The New York Police Department, in December, stated that they were investigating on those allegations against him.
