In a surprising turn of events, Kim Kardashian West has decided to bid adieu to her selfie-taking days. Kim announced that she would not be taking selfies anymore during a ‘This Morning’ interview on Tuesday at her KKW Beauty pop-up shop.
When the producer of the show asked The Keeping Up Kardashians star for a selfie, Kim replied with a surprising explanation, “You know, I don’t take selfies anymore, I don’t like them that much. “It’s not all about, like, sitting there taking selfies. I just would like to live in a real-time a little bit more. I don’t mind pictures, but I’m just not on my phone the way that I used to be.”
Despite the new decision she has made, the makeup mogul had posted a selfie on her Instagram story on Thursday while she took a break from packing.
This surprising news comes in two years after Kim had published her 2015 bestselling book titled ‘Selfish,’ that features few memorable selfies of the reality star and the stories behind each picture. Since the release of the book, Kim has shared useful tips with her fans on how they can take a perfect snap.
Back in August 2016, Kim had told E! News, “There’s nothing worse than a really bad selfie angle,” she told E! News in August 2016. “I would say chin down [is my best angle], and I like a side profile sometimes instead of a straight-on shot. I do a little head tilt to the side … You need good lighting. Obviously.”
Well, we all know that the trends keep coming and going, but we’ll have to see how Kim stops taking a selfie. You never know, but we might just spot a fire-new selfie of the reality star very soon.
