Kanye West and his 37-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star wife, Kim Kardashian West attended the Saturday’s March For Our Lives protest with their 4-year-old daughter North West.
Kanye and Kim weren’t the only celebs who joined the hands with hundreds of thousands of students who are standing up for gun reform and protesting to end the gun violence in the nation.
The mother of three, Kim posted a photo of her 40-year-old rapper hubby Kanye carrying elder daughter at the massive March For Our Lives protest, saying she hopes her daughter remembers it forever.
The black and white picture, which was shared on Instagram, features North riding on her dad’s shoulders in the crowd in Washington D.C.
The beauty mogul wrote in the caption of the image: “What an amazing day yesterday to take my daughter to Washington DC to see our future leaders speak. Having my daughter march along-side her grandfather and parents was a day I hope she remembers forever. I know that the younger generation will vote to change these gun laws that so desperately need to be changed.”
She continued, “Hearing these stories yesterday and meeting so many families affected by gun violence was heart breaking and I hope when it comes time to vote we all step up and vote to protect our children.”
Kanye and Kim have also previously spoken out against gun violence. As during an interview BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, the rapper said, “We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year, we’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July.”
Kim, who was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in 2016, has also been outspoken on the issue, working with the organization Everytown for Gun Safety to change the legislation surrounding who can purchase guns.
