Long before Justin Bieber entered into the pop singer Selena Gomez’s life, her relationship with mom, Mandy Teefey has strained already.
Selena has ongoing familial problems that run deeper even before it was reported that her loved ones were less supportive of her and Bieber giving their relationship another chance. Even though Selena has said always that her mom is the one person that means the most to her, they still have had a very complicated relationship that has gone through a lot of ups and downs.
There was an entire story earlier which said that Selena and her mom did not speak for a long time after Selena parted ways with mandy as her manager in the year 2014. This caused a huge rift in between both of them. It was also said that Mandy would not let Selena talk to her sister for a very long time.
Reportedly, Mandy and her husband Brian Teefey did everything that they could for Selena but when she fired her, it was a really hard time for Mandy, both emotionally and professionally. It is said that the Mandy had a hard time getting her and Selena’s Netflix series ’13 Reasons Why’ off the ground as she lost her clout as a manager after Selena fired her. This caused a major rift but soon after the two eventually reconnected.

Previously it was said that Justin is the reason why there was so much angst for Selena’s family. That was the reason why they were not happy with the fact that she got back with the singer. But as the Gomez family are trying to resolve their familial issues, another source says that Selena is leaning on Justin for support.
Selena confirmed about the two getting back together in November. They both went for a private getaway to Seattle just before Christmas. It is said that the dispute between Selena and her family became public just when the couple planned to celebrate this year’s New Year’s together.
