Bon Jovi, the rock band formed in 1983 celebrated its 35-year successful career with Icon Award at 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards. It has been more than three decades and the band has sure held on to what they have got from their successful music career.
The legendary American rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey, ‘Bon Jovi’ was honored with the very first-ever iHeartRadio Icon Award at 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday, for the band’s contributions to music industry throughout more than three decades.
The band performed classics such as “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “It’s My Life” at the award ceremony
The 56-year-old frontman Jon Bon Jovi said during the band’s acceptance speech, “I want to thank the three and a half decades of fans that have been listening to Bon Jovi songs.” He continued, “We’ve been at this game a long time and the only advice I’ll tell this incredible generation of incredible talent is just stay true to who you are, and then they’re going to make you guys icons too someday.”
Bon Jovi is all set to be inducted into this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, the band recently launched the second installment of their new album titled This House Is Not For Sale along with two latest songs titled “Walls” and “When We Were Us.”
The band is also gearing up to head back out on a tour of two months starting on March 14 in Denver, Colorado and scheduled to end on May 14 in Washington, D.C.
This year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards was full of amazing performances including, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Eminem featuring Kehlani, G-Eazy, and N.E.R.D.
The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards broadcasted live from the Forum in Los Angeles on March 11, Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on TBS, TNT, and truTV.
