In a tragic incident, Leah LaBelle, the former American Idol finalist has died in a car accident in Studio City, California on Wednesday. As per the report, her husband, former NBA player Rasual Butler was driving the car. As per Los Angeles Police gave the information the accident occurred at around 2 AM.
Describing more about the accident, police stated that Butler was driving his Range Rover at high speed, around two to three times more than the speed limit. Then he suddenly lost control of the car. After that, the car first smashed with the cur and then collided with three parking meters. The car didn’t stop with that. It again collided smashed with a concrete wall before flipping twice. Finally, the car stopped inside the parking space near Ventura Boulevard of Studio City. The police received a call about the accident at 2:30 AM. Both died on the spot. For now, it is suspected that speed was the primary reason behind the accident, but the police are now investigating the matter thoroughly to know the actual reason behind the crash.
Talking more about Leah LaBelle, her real name was Leah LaBelle Vladowski. She participated in the American Idol Season 3 and ended 12th. Keri Hilson recruited her as a backup singer in 2009. She then recruited by Jermaine Dupri and Pharrell Williams.
