Fat Joe to Host the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Fat Joe has revealed that he will be hosting the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards, and NOTORE believes he is the perfect choice for the role.

Hailing from the Bronx, activist and rapper Fat Joe is gearing up to lead this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards in October. SOHH praises BET for selecting him, citing several reasons why he is a great fit:

1. A Veteran in the Rap Game

Fat Joe, a four-time Grammy nominee, has been a prominent figure in the hip-hop scene since the 1990s.

Growing up in the Bronx, he was influenced by hip-hop pioneers like Melle Mel and Grandmaster Flash.

Despite gaining fame for hits like “Lean Back,” he began his career as part of the 90s hip-hop group D.I.T.C (Diggin’ in the Crates), collaborating with producers such as DJ Premier.

2. The Legacy of Terror Squad

Fat Joe is no stranger to hip-hop and social media. Apart from D.I.T.C., his Terror Squad crew launched careers of iconic artists like Remy Ma, DJ Khaled, and Big Pun.

With nearly three decades in the industry, Fat Joe continues to make his mark.

3. Humorous and Charitable

Known for his sense of humor, Fat Joe is always ready with a joke. A good host should have excellent comedic timing.

Moreover, he led fundraising efforts for victims of recent deadly Bronx fires, shedding light on the cause.

With his extensive experience in the industry, Fat Joe’s selection for the host role is well-deserved.
