As we all know that Cameron Boyce died recently due to his ongoing condition. The death of the star was a big surprise for everyone and as well as for Disney too. Disney is about to release the third part of the franchise Descendants. The premiere of the movie was scheduled later this month but after the death of the star, the premiere is no longer going to have a red carpet.
Disney reportedly decided to cancel the red carpet on the premiere night of Descendants 3 in the light of the death of the star whereas, the channel has decided to honor a donation to a charity that Boyce was dedicated to. “We’re proud to be part of Cameron Boyce’s legacy by showcasing his talents on screen but we are canceling the red carpet premiere event for ‘Descendants 3’ scheduled for July 22 and instead, The Walt Disney Company will make a donation to the Thirst Project, a philanthropic organization to which Cameron was deeply committed,” Disney Channel said in a statement, per Us Weekly. “Thank you for your understanding .” Boyce passed away at his home in North Hollywood at night. As per his family, he was under an ongoing treatment for his health condition and the reason for his death is an epileptic seizure. The cause of the death was confirmed by the family later on.
Cameron’s family recently opened and shared their feelings for Cameron. First, his dad and then his only sister Maya came out in the public and took over the social media and addressed Cameron’s fans by sharing his memories, and their hearty thanks for the love and support. Maya also mentioned that she was with the night he died and also shared that they both had a great time talking to each other as he was her “best friend”.
