Actress Diane Keaton hasn’t yet withdrawn her support hand from her collaborator Woody Allen. The actress took to social media today to lend her support to her friend and to make him aware of it. She tweeted about the actor and director that he is her friend and she continues to believe in him. The actress also mentioned a link in her tweet that traced back to a video of sixty minutes interview from the year 1992.
Diane has always been an inspiration to Allen, and they both have shared a close bond throughout the year. As per the reports Allen had also hiked up to the west coast in June to pay tribute to Diane at the 45th Annual AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony. Introducing Diane in the event, Woody commented that Diane has been astonishing and has always proved to be a great inspiration for him since they both met and that he owes much of what he has achieved in life to Diane.
Woody Allen has repeatedly been accused of child molestation by his daughter Dylan Farrow starting from 1992 when turmoil had broken up between Allen and his ex-partner Mia Farrow with regards to the custody of their daughter. Dylan Farrow had first opened up about the incident with CBS This Morning’s Gayle King and had accused Woody. She had recollected and spoken up about the whole incident as to how her father had taken advantage of her mother’s absence and had asked her to accompany him to her mother’s country house and how he had touched her private parts and sexually assaulted him there. She was just seven years old then. Allen had tagged the whole claim as false and instead stated that it was all planned and taught to Dylan by her mother to avenge her breakup with him.
Irrespective of the director’s claim of not being involved in any such matter, many of the actresses who have worked with him in the past have denounced him and have vowed not to work with him again.
