Courtney Love is again back to the headlines, and this time, it is for a wild reason. As per a report by Billboard on Thursday, a lawsuit has been filed by Isaiah Silva, the ex-husband of her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain in Los Angeles County where the Love has been accused of plotting a conspiracy to kidnap and murder to retake the ownership of Kurt Cobain’s old guitar that he had last played in the MTV Unplugged New York performance in 1993 and held an iconic value.
Silva was awarded the guitar as a part of the divorce settlement between him and Frances earlier this year, against her wish. The suit filed by Silva also alleges Sam Lutfi, the ex-manager of Britney Spears who helped her during a hard time in her career, of providing illegal drugs to Frances in addition to assault, kidnapping, attempted murder, extortion and false imprisonment. Moreover,
Ross Butler, 13 Reasons Why star is also being alleged for being a co-conspirator.
In the suit, Silva has claimed a campaign of harassment that Love, Lutfi and Butler and a man named Yan Yukhtman had planned. Silva alleges that the Lufti, Butler as well as Yuktman broke into his house on June 3, 2016, and threatened him. Later, the three kidnapped him in a Cadillac Escalade and threatened him further and almost got themselves arrested when the police followed them in cars as well as a helicopter after they got an emergency call from a friend who was there at Silva’s house when they broke in.
However, no arrest was made as the alleged conspirators threatened Silva that they would hurt his daughter if he did not play along in claiming that all of it was a prank gone awry.
Silva claims many more allegations in the lawsuit against the conspirators which includes Lufti advertising a picture of Silva’s daughter’s puppy on the Craigslist as a free dog. A source to close to the Cobain family told Billboard, “Frances and the family are prepared to fight with a fury of unprecedented legal force, and they will prevail.”
