A$AP Rocky Charged by Los Angeles District Attorney for 2021 Hollywood Shooting

In April of this year, A$AP Rocky was taken into custody at LAX airport in connection with a shooting that occurred in November 2021. The Los Angeles District Attorney, George Gascón, has announced that charges are being pressed against A$AP Rocky for the shooting, which resulted in one man being grazed and was reportedly captured on camera.

“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have resulted in tragic consequences for the intended target as well as innocent bystanders in Hollywood,” stated Gascón. “After thoroughly reviewing the evidence in this case, my office found it necessary to add a special firearm allegation.”

Rocky is facing charges of two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm with additional allegations of personally using a firearm.

According to RollingStone, the shooting suspect was identified as fellow A$AP Mob member Terell Ephron also known as A$AP Relli, who has since stated that he is seeking therapy after the incident.

Previously, Ephron filed a civil lawsuit against the rapper in connection with the shooting and is seeking $25,000 in damages. Rocky is set to be arraigned on Wednesday, and the LAPD will be continuing their investigation into the matter.
