13 years of long relationship between Julie Bowen and Scott Philips has come to an end. As per the latest report, both are now divorcing after 13 years of their marriage. On Tuesday, Julie Bowen, the actress from the Modern Family has filed for divorce from Philips who is a real estate investor. She filed the paperwork in a Los Angeles court. The divorce filing comes just after one day when a report informed that the couple had separated.
They have three sons Oliver (10) and eight-year-old twins John and Gustav. Since September 2016, the duo has not been spotted on a red carpet. They were last seen at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 47th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards in West Hollywood. In February 2017, the duo was spotted with their kids at a Harlem Globetrotters game in Los Angeles.
In Gala she said “We watch all these people get married and split up and go, ‘Wait, did they get married after us or before us?’ We outlast all these people. The answer: We’re too tired to do anything else!”
She further added “At first I loved my husband and then I loved the kids and now I love our family. When I see my husband with my kids, it makes me so happy.”
Telling about the things that makes a marriage successful, Bowen stated “I only remember up until we had the kids. Then you’re like, ‘What?’ Twelve years. We’ve had children for nine. So. I remember the first three years, the rest of it is like a blackout.”
The celebrated their marriage anniversary on the day of the Emmy Awards in 2016. She termed that was hilarious. That time she stated she had allowed her husband to stay at home so that he didn’t have to be a purse holder.
